Abstract

This chapter delves into the intricate world of secure multiparty computation (MPC), focusing on achieving 'best-in-the-multiverse' security. It explores the boundaries of MPC security by examining various adversary models, including unbounded and computationally bounded adversaries. The study characterizes when guaranteed output delivery, fairness, and security with abort can be achieved in the general adversary model, providing a comprehensive framework for understanding MPC's feasibility. The chapter presents detailed protocols and theorems, offering practical insights into enhancing MPC security across different scenarios.
