Arm Holdings, a publicly traded subsidiary of the Japanese conglomerate Softbank, is growing and is very profitable. FY 2024 revenues reached 3.2 billion US dollars, advancing 9.7 % per year since FY 2018. Its third-quarter, non-GAP operating margin was 41 %. Half of the chips produced worldwide with one or more CPU (central processing unit) cores onboard are based on instruction-set architectures designed by Arm. Their largest market is mobile. Its share of mobile processor applications is nearly 100 %. To continue growing, they have had to target other markets where it thinks it can grow.
