Abstract

The chapter delves into the innovative approach of multi-property design for composites, focusing on the use of multifilament cold extrusion to achieve specific material properties on demand. It discusses the limitations of traditional multi-material design methods and introduces a more flexible and precise technique. The study compares two material combinations, Al/Fe/Cu and Mg/Ti/Ag, to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method in controlling density, yield strength, and electrical resistivity. The results show a high degree of accuracy in predicting and achieving the desired properties, highlighting the potential for widespread application in industries requiring tailored material performance.
