Abstract

The article delves into the transformation of memory-less non-linear components into memristors, addressing the limitations of existing universal memelement emulators. It introduces two compact mutator circuits that convert non-linear capacitors and inductors into flux-controlled and charge-controlled memristors, respectively. These circuits are designed using off-the-shelf components and are validated through simulations and experiments. The research also includes the development of simulator circuits for non-linear capacitors and inductors, showcasing the successful mutation into memristors. The article concludes by highlighting future improvements needed for the proposed mutator circuits, such as addressing pinch-off shifting and enhancing electronic tunability.
