Abstract

The article explores the synthesis and characterization of Sr-doped ZnO as an electrode material for supercapacitors. It delves into the advanced energy storage devices and the importance of research in this field. The study focuses on the superior electrochemical features of supercapacitors, particularly their fast charge-discharge rate and long cycle life. The authors discuss the use of transition metal oxides, including ZnO, as electrodes due to their environmental friendliness and high theoretical capacitance. The research highlights the significant improvement in specific capacitance (C sp) of Sr-doped ZnO, reaching 698 Fg⁻¹ at a scan rate of 5 mVs⁻¹. The study also emphasizes the excellent cycling stability of 95.4% after 5000 cycles, making Sr-doped ZnO a promising candidate for next-generation energy storage devices.
