Abstract

This article delves into the optimization of Grover's quantum search algorithm through phase-matching techniques, aiming to achieve 100% success probability. The study explores the optimal number of queries for deterministic search, proving that the best parameters lie in an infinitesimally-wide band around specific phase angles. It compares theoretical results with numerical optimization methods, demonstrating that the theoretical values provide better results with consistently high success probabilities. The article also discusses the implications of these findings for quantum search algorithms and their potential speedup over the original Grover algorithm. Additionally, it reviews the symmetries of the success probability function and provides a rigorous proof for the optimal phase-matching conditions. The study concludes with a comparison of theoretical and numerically obtained values, highlighting the effectiveness of the proposed phase-matching strategy.
