Optimisation of the swinging jaw design for a single toggle jaw crusher using finite element analysis

Abstract

The article presents an innovative approach to optimizing the design of the swinging jaw plate for a single toggle jaw crusher. By employing finite element analysis, the study identifies key parameters such as plate thickness, profile, and length that significantly impact the crusher's performance. Through a multi-objective genetic algorithm and response surface methodology, the research achieves substantial improvements in reducing stress and deformation, which are critical factors in enhancing the crusher's efficiency and durability. The findings offer valuable insights for future design iterations and practical applications in the mining and construction industries.
