Abstract

The article delves into the optimization of tool life, surface roughness, and production time in CNC turning processes using the Taguchi Method and ANOVA. It begins by highlighting the importance of turning in various industries such as automotive and aerospace. The study focuses on optimizing key parameters like cutting speed, feed rate, and depth of cut to enhance machining efficiency. The Taguchi Method is employed to design experiments and analyze the impact of these parameters on tool life, production time, and surface roughness. The results are further validated using ANOVA, which identifies the most significant factors affecting the outcomes. The article also discusses the use of Response Surface Methodology to optimize the process parameters and achieve the best possible results. The findings are validated through confirmation experiments, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed method. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of these optimizations in improving overall machining performance and suggests future research directions.
