With a global market share of 60 %, Toyota leads the way in hybrid car production. We spoke with Gerald Killmann, Vice President R&D, about the philosophy of developing and producing core technologies in-house. He also explained why the Japanese OEM prioritises full hybrids rather than mild hybrids and why they are an effective step forward towards electromobility.
