The communications specialist Netmodule has entered into a cooperation with Fernride to ensure the connectivity of the teleoperation software using its vehicle routers. Fernride develops software solutions designed to make autonomous driving safer by combining artificial and human intelligence. The project is reportedly a first step toward collaboration on other agribusiness and logistics projects that will also use Netmodule's 5G routers. With its teleoperation solution, Fernride supports autonomous vehicles in situations that cannot be solved by autonomous systems and require decision-making by humans. The teleoperation necessary for this enables humans to intervene remotely via the mobile network.
