The Emka Group has acquired the Wuppertal-based company GSB Aluminium. By gaining a new production process, Emka can now round off its manufacturing range, as it can add various products made of aluminum alloys to its metal portfolio in addition to those made of steel and zinc. With the new lightweight products, the company intends to supply customers from the automotive sector as well as other industries. Customer-specific special solutions can also be provided in cooperation with the mold-making facility in Bosnia. Aluminum die casting, aluminum forging, and aluminum friction welding are the main processes used at two sites, in Wuppertal and in Indore (India), with a total of 80 employees. GSB Aluminium will continue to operate as an independent company, which means, for example, that the name and the existing management will remain unchanged.
