dSpace is pooling its expertise in the development and testing of charging technologies and expanding its project center in Munich (Germany) to include a so-called Charging Competence Center. The company is said to be investing heavily in the expansion of development and engineering capacity as well as personnel and be transferring the further development of its smart-charging services to the new center. These services range from solutions for communication testing of all global charging standards to charging column emulators and comprehensive test libraries for standards compliance. In addition to testing power components for AC and DC charging, a key focus is on testing the complex communication between charging pole and electric vehicle.
