Abstract

The study focuses on improving the photovoltaic performance of inverted type organic solar cells by introducing isopropanol and carbon quantum dots into the photoactive layer. The addition of these components significantly enhances light absorption, exciton dissociation, and charge transport, leading to remarkable improvements in power conversion efficiency under outdoor conditions. However, under indoor illumination, the pristine photoactive layer device shows better performance due to effective exciton dissociation. The research highlights the need for different optimization strategies for outdoor and indoor applications, making it a valuable resource for professionals in the field of solar energy.
