Abstract

The study investigates the thermal stability, micro-morphology, and elemental distribution of NaCl–KCl–Na2S molten salts, crucial for sulfide electrolytic desulfurization. It examines the effects of temperature and composition on volatility, viscosity, surface tension, and conductivity, offering valuable insights into optimizing the molten salt system for efficient and stable operations. The research highlights the importance of understanding these properties to maintain the stability of the electrolysis process and improve the overall efficiency of metal extraction from sulfide concentrates.
