Abstract

The article explores the use of polymersomes based on a fumaric copolymer as a novel drug nanocarrier for risedronate, a bisphosphonate with low oral bioavailability. The study synthesizes a triblock copolymer using reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer polymerization and characterizes the resulting polymersomes. It evaluates the biocompatibility, drug encapsulation efficiency, and in vitro release kinetics of risedronate-loaded polymersomes. The research highlights the potential of this novel system for enhancing the delivery and bioavailability of risedronate, offering a promising alternative to traditional drug delivery methods.
