5. Prägung akademischer Gründer durch persönliche Beziehungen am Beispiel von FunSurf

Zusammenfassung

Mit der Smartwatch von FunSurf sollen Kitesurfer zukünftig ihre Performance in Echtzeit erfassen und sich im Rahmen von globalen und lokalen Bestenlisten mit anderen vergleichen können. Träger dieser Geschäftsidee ist ein junger Akademiker (Gründer A), der sich noch während seines Studiums zur Gründung entschloss. Die vorliegende Fallstudie untersucht explorativ, welche Faktoren die Unternehmensgründung beeinflusst haben. Hierzu werden prägende Einflüsse von persönlichen Beziehungen des akademischen Gründers A analysiert, die auf seine Gründungsentscheidung eingewirkt haben. Neben dem familiären und außerfamiliären Umfeld werden unterschiedliche Erziehungsstile beleuchtet und darüber hinaus die Einflüsse des persönlichen Netzwerks analysiert.

Unter Selbstwirksamkeit wird nach Bandura (1997) die Überzeugung eines Menschen von seinen Fähigkeiten verstanden. Sie beinhaltet den Glauben an die eigenen Fähigkeiten und die Einschätzung, was mit diesen Fähigkeiten möglich ist (Schlägel und König 2014, S. 300). Das Individuum geht somit davon aus, selbst etwas bewirken und selbstständig Situationen bewältigen zu können.
