Predicting the Development of Scientific Trends on the Basis of Analysis of Conflicts between Fields of Knowledge

Abstract

General ideas about the structure and types of conflicts are systematized. The typology of scientific conflicts is supplemented with the concept of a conflict between fields of knowledge. A classification of conflict situations in science along the lines of demarcation between fields of knowledge is carried out. The interrelation of ways to end conflicts between fields of knowledge and conflict situations is indicated. A methodology for predicting the outcomes of knowledge conflicts based on heuristics has been developed. Tuple notation is used to record the format of data structures at the input and output of the predicting procedure.
