Wear predictions based on vehicle diagnosis data collected online offer a high potential for better planning vehicle maintenance in the future. At the Technical University of Braunschweig in cooperation with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, a methodology has been developed that makes it possible to diagnose the wear condition of components and predict a defect before it becomes a breakdown.
