Abstract

The article delves into the challenges posed by energy shortages and environmental pollution, highlighting the critical role of lithium-ion batteries in sustainable development. It discusses the limitations of current graphite anodes and the promise of silicon as an alternative due to its high specific capacity and low delithiation voltage. The core of the article focuses on the preparation of SiOx–TiO2/Si/CNTs composite microspheres, which address the volume expansion and stress issues that hinder the commercial application of silicon anodes. The study demonstrates the potential of this novel anode material in enhancing the cycle stability of lithium-ion batteries, paving the way for more efficient and environmentally friendly energy storage solutions.
