Abstract

The article introduces a new approach for optimizing the placement of reliability-based distributed generation units in transmission systems, taking into account demand response schedules. It discusses the importance of system reliability and the integration of distributed generation units to improve performance. The method uses the Teaching-Learning-Based Optimization (TLBO) algorithm to solve the optimization problem, highlighting its effectiveness in enhancing system reliability and operational efficiency. The study is validated through simulations on the IEEE-RTS-79 reliability test system, demonstrating the practical applicability of the proposed method. The article also explores the impact of demand response programs on system performance and reliability, making it a valuable resource for professionals seeking to optimize power system designs.
