The lightweight electric vehicle City eTaxi has a range of 120 km, which seems to be completely adequate, since the six 1.9-kW Lithium-ion batteries can be swapped in a short time at a battery swapping station. The vehicle is intended to conquer urban living spaces and operate, thanks to a modular battery swap system developed by BMZ, completely independently of existing or future charging point infrastructure. Two wheel hub motors located at the rear of the vehicle drive the eTaxi, which draws its energy from six, or in the cargo variant eight, individual battery modules connected via an intelligent battery management system. The lightweight vehicle can accelerate to over 80 km/h thanks to its drive output of 15 kW. …
