Schukat is extending its industrial and automotive portfolio with Panasonic Industry Europe's new, metallized DC polypropylene film EZPC series capacitors. The metallization process and fuse mechanism function enable stable capacity over the entire product lifetime and guarantee a high level of reliability. Areas of application include onboard chargers for cars, inverter circuits for air conditioning units and AC/DC and DC/DC converters for vehicles. The capacitors are available as two-pin and four-pin versions with nominal voltages of 600, 800 and 1100 VDC with a nominal capacitance range of 3 to 110 µF. The capacitive tolerance is ± 10 %. The RoHS-conform series with UL94 accreditation can be operated in a temperature range from -40 to +105 °C, the isolation resistance lies between a minimum of 3000 Ohm×F (at 20 °C, 500 VDC, 60 s).
