Zusammenfassung

Die Projektsteuerung dient zur Überwachung und Lenkung der Arbeiten während der Durchführung eines Projekts (siehe Abb. 11.1). Dies ist in der Regel die längste aller Projektphasen. Sie endet mit einem expliziten Projektabschluss, der ein Projekt erst zu einem Erfolg werden lässt. Zur Projektsteuerung gehört die Überwachung des tatsächlichen Fortschritts. Aus dessen Vergleich mit den Planungen ergeben sich steuernde Eingriffe, um auf ungeplante Ereignisse reagieren und Abweichungen ausgleichen zu können. Sind die bei der Durchführung auftretenden Probleme zu massiv, muss die Planung angepasst werden. Damit dies in kontrollierter Form erfolgt, wird ein eigenständiges Änderungsmanagement benötigt.
