Abstract

Given the demands and social awareness of the environment, today it is important to link operations in a company with processes that allow sustainability circles to be created. The main research objective of this article is to propose a methodology for the design and management of operations strategies in global supply chains with a circular economy and sustainability approach. To fulfill this objective, a constructive research methodology is proposed in which each specific objective is fulfilled with the sequential activities and tasks set out in the time planning scheme. The future results to be obtained by the proposed methodology would be for industrial companies belonging to global supply chains to optimize their operations strategies in cost, quality, delivery, and flexibility terms in a sustainable manner.
