Zusammenfassung

Dieses Kapitel befasst sich mit der Entwicklung der US-Handelspolitik und der Fiskalpolitik unter der Trump-Administration. Es werden mehrere Ungereimtheiten identifiziert und die mittelfristig zu erwartenden Herausforderungen und Problemfelder aufgezeigt. Da die USA eine große Volkswirtschaft sind, zeigt sich, dass Washingtons protektionistische Zollpolitik und inkonsistente Fiskalpolitik mittelfristig sowohl direkte negative Auswirkungen auf die USA als auch negative Auswirkungen auf Europa und Asien/China haben. Dieser populistische Politikansatz der USA wird wiederum neue Konflikte und Probleme verursachen.
