Abstract

The article investigates the intricate relationship between psychological empowerment, work-family facilitation, and job satisfaction, with a particular emphasis on the moderating role of work-family segmentation preferences. Psychological empowerment, characterized by a sense of control, competence, and goal initiation, is identified as a crucial antecedent to work-family facilitation. This facilitation, in turn, plays a pivotal role in enhancing job satisfaction by fostering a positive synergy between work and family responsibilities. The study highlights that individuals who prefer clear boundaries between their work and family roles experience greater job satisfaction when they can effectively utilize resources gained from one domain to excel in the other. The research employs a robust methodological approach, including confirmatory factor analysis and hierarchical regression analysis, to validate its hypotheses. The findings contribute to the existing literature by providing empirical support for the model of facilitation and offering practical insights into enhancing job satisfaction through psychological empowerment and work-family segmentation preferences. The article also discusses the implications for policy and practice, suggesting strategies for organizations to support employees in achieving a better work-life balance. Overall, the study offers a comprehensive framework for understanding the mechanisms underlying work-family facilitation and its implications for job satisfaction, making it a valuable resource for professionals and researchers in the field.
