Abstract

The article focuses on the quantitative evaluation of steel slab heating temperature using non-contact measurement techniques. It emphasizes the importance of uniform temperature distribution for efficient steel rolling and reduced equipment wear. The study combines physical simulation experiments, numerical simulations, and infrared thermal imaging to assess temperature uniformity. The isoline method and local discrepancy function are employed to quantitatively describe temperature gradients and uniformity. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of these methods in optimizing steel slab heating processes, highlighting the relationship between temperature uniformity and steel slab quality. The article concludes with practical implications for improving heating processes and increasing the yield of qualified steel slabs.
