Abstract

The article delves into the reinforcement mechanisms of bonding agents in azide propellant systems through molecular dynamics simulation. It examines the impact of different functional group ratios on the interface energy and mechanical properties of these propellants. The study reveals that the optimal binding energy is achieved with a 60% cured network, challenging the conventional pursuit of full crosslinking. The findings highlight the crucial role of hydrogen bonds and polymer configuration in enhancing mechanical performance, suggesting a paradigm shift in propellant material design. The research offers valuable insights into the structural features that could lead to the development of advanced, high-performance propellants.
