Abstract

The article delves into the innovative application of quantum anonymous voting with continuous-variable entanglement in optical frequency combs. It discusses the limitations of classical electronic voting systems, particularly their vulnerability to quantum computing attacks. The proposed quantum protocol leverages entangled states generated by optical frequency combs to ensure unconditional security through the principles of quantum mechanics. The paper explores two specific voting schemes: one using multi-pair EPR states and another using five-partite entangled states. Both schemes facilitate multiparty and multivalued voting, with security mechanisms inspired by continuous-variable quantum key distribution (CV-QKD). The article also analyzes the security of these schemes against collective attacks and spectroscopic noise attacks, highlighting the potential of quantum technologies to revolutionize secure voting systems. Additionally, it examines the impact of various parameters on the amount of ballot information transmitted and the maximum secure voting distance, providing valuable insights into the practical implementation of quantum voting protocols.
