The study of quantum computation and quantum information processing has matured significantly, with researchers exploring cross-domain initiatives like quantum image processing (QIP). QIP utilizes quantum-mechanical phenomena such as quantum superposition and entanglement to overcome classical computation limitations. This article focuses on quantum image registration, a crucial problem in image processing with practical applications in medical imaging, computer vision, and material mechanics. The proposed method uses Powell's optimization method and a quantum golden section search method to enhance the efficiency of image registration.
