Abstract

The article delves into the application of displaced Fock states as a quantum channel for continuous-variable (CV) teleportation, a crucial process in quantum information processing. It begins by introducing the concept of displaced Fock states and their significance in quantum optics. The authors then explore the theoretical framework of CV teleportation using the Braunstein and Kimble protocol, focusing on the fidelity of teleportation as a measure of success. The paper presents detailed analyses of teleporting coherent and squeezed states using displaced Fock states, both in ideal and realistic conditions. In the ideal scenario, the authors find that the maximum fidelity is below the classical benchmark, indicating the limitations of displaced Fock states. They also investigate the impact of decoherence and imperfect measurements on the teleportation fidelity, providing insights into the practical challenges of using displaced Fock states in real-world quantum communication systems.
