Abstract

Recent progress in rubber science is explained on a few topics developed in this century. That is, reinforcement by nano-fillers and self-reinforcement of natural rubber are elucidated. In particular, rubber network structures are analyzed by the most up-to-date techniques. A new mechanism of the traditional vulcanization is also described.
