Abstract

This chapter delves into the innovative approach of recycling waste fresh concrete as aggregate granules, focusing on sustainability and circular economy principles in the concrete industry. The research investigates the use of the Re-Con Zero EVO additive to convert fresh concrete into reusable granules, which are then incorporated into new concrete mixtures at varying dosages. Key topics include the production process of recycled aggregate granules, the impact on concrete properties such as compressive strength, water absorption, and chloride ion migration, and the potential for reducing waste and environmental impact. The study concludes that using recycled aggregates in concrete mixtures can be a viable and sustainable solution, with the 30% and 50% dosages meeting required standards. The findings highlight the importance of considering water absorption and particle size distribution when designing concrete mixtures with recycled aggregates, offering practical insights for professionals in the construction and environmental sectors.
