The article deals with the problem of reliability assessment of robotic systems and it is specifically focused on the analysis of the current situation in the field of component reliability prediction. The techniques of the component reliability prediction using the most credible methods (MIL-HDBK-217F, PRISM) and reliability databases (EPRD-97, NPRD-95) are presented in the article. Also the latest reliability prediction methods FIDES, 217Plus and reliability database SPIDR are presented.
