Abstract

The article presents a groundbreaking approach to managing solar PV on-site generation for EV charging in commercial buildings using the LBO-DTRSRN method. By integrating the ladybug beetle optimization (LBO) algorithm with the double transformer residual super-resolution network (DTRSRN), the study addresses the dynamic and unpredictable nature of energy demands. The LBO algorithm optimizes energy consumption and charging schedules, while the DTRSRN accurately predicts EV charging demand. The proposed method has been shown to reduce operational costs by 17.8%, outperforming traditional methods like LSTM, BRTDP, and PSO. Simulations using real-world data from the Danish National Travel Survey demonstrate the effectiveness of the LBO-DTRSRN approach in stabilizing net electricity exchange and optimizing system performance. The study highlights the potential for significant economic benefits and improved energy management efficiency in commercial settings.
