Abstract

The article delves into the intriguing concept of remotely creating quantum coherence via indefinite causal order, a phenomenon that defies classical causal structures. It begins by establishing the foundational principles of quantum coherence and entanglement, emphasizing their pivotal roles in quantum thermodynamics and technologies. The authors then introduce the novel idea of using indefinite causal order to achieve remote state preparation, where quantum coherence is generated at a distant location. The paper explores various scenarios, including the use of completely depolarizing channels and unitary operators under the SWITCH formalism, to demonstrate the creation of nonzero quantum coherence despite the presence of noise. One of the key findings is the role of quantum discord in maintaining coherence, even when entanglement is lost.
