Abstract

The chapter delves into the critical issue of phosphate removal from water due to its environmental impacts. It introduces the use of ZnO nanoparticles synthesized via sonochemical methods, highlighting their environmental friendliness and high adsorption efficiency. The study focuses on optimizing the synthesis conditions to achieve rapid and effective phosphate adsorption, making it a promising solution for industrial water treatment applications. The research includes detailed experimental procedures, results, and discussions on the effects of pH, adsorbent amount, contact time, and initial phosphate concentration on the adsorption process.
