Abstract

The chapter delves into the critical area of high-speed and large bandwidth MIMO data transmission, addressing the pressing need for efficient data transfer in modern communication networks. It begins by highlighting the explosive growth of communication data and the resulting spectrum congestion, setting the stage for the development of advanced MIMO systems. The authors present a multi-objective optimization problem to maximize bandwidth utilization and spectrum efficiency, drawing on technologies such as spectrum reconstruction and cognitive radio networks. The system model and baseband algorithm design are meticulously detailed, including channel estimation and equalization techniques to mitigate signal distortions. The hardware and software modules are described, with a focus on achieving a transmission rate of 5 Gbps in the L/S band. The chapter concludes with a demonstration of the system's feasibility, showcasing a bit error rate of 10e-4 and a transmission rate of 5 Gbps. Future improvements are suggested, emphasizing the need for better channel estimation algorithms and flexible frequency offset correction methods.
