Abstract

The article introduces a novel direct torque control (NDTC) method for a three-level direct matrix converter permanent magnet synchronous motor (TLDMC-PMSM) system, addressing the limitations of conventional direct torque control (DTC). The proposed NDTC method integrates CSSMC for speed control and STSMC-DTC for torque and flux linkage control, enhancing system robustness and dynamic response. Additionally, the Modulation Coefficient Optimization Method (MCOM) is introduced to further reduce electromagnetic torque and flux linkage ripple, ensuring smoother motor operation. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated through both simulation and hardware experiments, demonstrating significant improvements in control accuracy, waveform quality, and system stability under various operating conditions.
