Abstract

This chapter delves into the optimization of distributed integrated energy systems (IES), which combine electricity, heat, and hydrogen supply to maximize energy efficiency. The study introduces the Latin Hypercube method for sampling and convex optimization to achieve global optimization, focusing on balancing investment and operating costs. A case study of an industrial park in China demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed methods, showing significant cost savings and improved economic performance. The chapter also compares the Latin Hypercube method with traditional Monte Carlo sampling, highlighting the advantages of the former in terms of efficiency and comprehensive sampling. The results provide valuable insights into the optimal configuration of IES components, offering a practical solution for energy planning decision-makers.
