Abstract

This chapter delves into the potential of solar energy in Heilongjiang Province, a region characterized by its severe cold climate. The study evaluates the distribution of solar resources, highlighting regional disparities and the impact of urban heat islands and building density on solar energy utilization. It analyzes the correlation between economic factors, such as GDP and industrial distribution, and the adoption of solar energy. The research also explores the challenges and opportunities in integrating solar energy into district energy systems, providing a refined classification of solar resource abundance. The findings underscore the need for tailored strategies to promote balanced regional development and enhance energy utilization efficiency. The study concludes with recommendations for policy makers and urban planners to optimize solar energy deployment in severe cold regions.
