Abstract

The article addresses the critical issue of power grid resilience during wildfires, which are becoming more frequent due to global warming. It introduces a novel framework that combines demand response programs and optimal grid reconfiguration to enhance grid flexibility and capacity accessibility. The framework considers the probabilistic spread of wildfires and prioritizes high-priority loads, ensuring a more resilient and adaptive power grid. The proposed method is validated through case studies and simulations, demonstrating its effectiveness in maintaining grid stability and reliability during wildfire events.
