Abstract

The chapter explores the challenges and advancements in 3D Virtual Try-On (VTON) technology, focusing on the PR-VTON framework and the PR-VTON3D dataset. Key topics include the integration of personalized diffusion-based inpainting with pose-aware 3D Gaussian Splatting to achieve consistent, high-fidelity garment transfer across challenging viewpoints. The PR-VTON3D dataset, featuring diverse clothing, poses, and occlusion scenarios, sets a new standard for robust 3D virtual try-on research. The methodology involves a pipeline with five stages: Monocular Prediction Module (MPM), Depth Refinement Module (DRM), reference-driven image editing, personalized diffusion model with LoRA fine-tuning, and persona-aware 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) editing and rendering. The results demonstrate PR-VTON's superior performance in preserving garment fidelity, maintaining cross-view consistency, and retaining user identity under extreme poses. The conclusion highlights the framework's strengths and outlines future directions, including video-based try-on and physics-aware garment simulation.
