Abstract

The article delves into the critical challenge of digital image watermarking, focusing on the development of a robust watermarking algorithm that leverages Redundant Discrete Wavelet Transform (RDWT), Hessenberg decomposition (HD), Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), and the Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA). This innovative approach addresses the trade-off between imperceptibility and robustness, ensuring that watermarks remain undetectable yet resilient to a wide range of attacks. The proposed methodology involves embedding watermarks into the host image using RDWT and HD-SVD, followed by the application of WOA to optimize the embedding parameters. The algorithm's effectiveness is demonstrated through extensive experimental results, showcasing superior performance in terms of imperceptibility and robustness compared to existing watermarking techniques. The article also provides a comprehensive analysis of the algorithm's performance under various attacks, including noise addition, filtering, and compression, highlighting its potential for practical applications in digital image security.
