Abstract

The article presents a comprehensive study on the development of a room-temperature chemiresistive gas sensor using a g-C3N4/Ag2ZrO3 nanocomposite for ethanol detection. Ethanol, a prevalent volatile organic compound, poses significant health risks, making its monitoring crucial. The study focuses on the advantages of the g-C3N4/Ag2ZrO3 nanocomposite over conventional metal oxide-based sensors, which require higher operating temperatures. The nanocomposite demonstrates enhanced sensitivity, selectivity, and stability at room temperature, making it a promising candidate for various applications, such as industrial ethanol gas leakage monitoring and breath alcohol checkers. The article delves into the synthesis, characterization, and gas-sensing performance of the nanocomposite, highlighting its superior properties and potential for commercial applications.
