I recently had to stop for a moment when I opened a certain high-circulation German news magazine. There on the page was a large-format police photograph of Tiger Woods, showing a sad-looking man with swollen eyes and frazzled hair. It was followed by several pages portraying the supposed fall of an icon. The author described the private wrongdoings of one of the biggest golf talents of all time. The daily newspapers reported in a similar vein on the financial problems of former German tennis professional Boris Becker. ...
