Abstract

This chapter delves into the security challenges of vehicle-to-vehicle communications in the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), highlighting the vulnerabilities such as data forgery and eavesdropping. It introduces a novel secure and negotiation scheme that utilizes a third-party center for offline authentication, enabling mutual authentication and session key establishment. The scheme is designed to be efficient, requiring only lightweight operations, and is proven secure through heuristic and BAN logic analysis. The chapter also compares the proposed scheme with state-of-the-art methods, demonstrating its superior communication efficiency. The detailed security analysis and performance comparison make this chapter a valuable resource for professionals seeking to enhance IoV communication security.
