This chapter delves into the seismic response evaluation of a ground-supported concrete water reservoir, focusing on the fluid-structure interaction (FSI) during the Northridge 1994 earthquake. The study examines two scenarios: an empty reservoir and one filled with water, using finite element analysis (FEA) to identify critical stress and deflection points. The analysis reveals that the presence of water significantly increases both stress and deflection, with maximum values occurring along the first quarter of the 51-meter-long wall.
