The article addresses the critical issue of selecting and allocating switching devices (SWDs) in distribution feeders, particularly focusing on reliability vulnerable customers. It introduces three distinct approaches to manage supply interruption costs: one where the distribution system owner covers all costs, another where customers bear the full cost, and a third where only the owner's costs are considered. The study compares these methods based on their impact on both feeder owners and customers, highlighting the importance of considering vulnerable customers' higher supply interruption costs. The optimal selection of SWDs is performed using the enumeration method, ensuring accurate results.
