Abstract

The chapter focuses on the dynamic analysis of the Ngipik Landfill in Gresik, East Java, particularly the impact of adding a clay liner to mitigate seismic effects and prevent groundwater pollution. The study evaluates the geotechnical properties of the landfill and simulates various models of clay liner addition. Using Finite Element Modeling and Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis, the research determines the shear strain values and assesses the dynamic behavior of the landfill.
